Operation: Extra Life — Physical CD
Operation: Extra Life is a 10-track collection of fan-made retro game tribute songs celebrating the explosive action, dangerous missions, and unforgettable challenges of the Nintendo Entertainment System era.
Blending 80s-inspired hard rock, action rock, synth-rock, heavy guitar riffs, driving arcade drums, and energetic 8-bit chiptune melodies, the album transforms classic NES adventures into original Cartridge Punks anthems filled with high-speed action, heroic battles, and retro gaming nostalgia.
From Billy Lee fighting through the streets in Double Dragon and the knife-wielding commando of Rush'n Attack to the prisoner-rescue missions of Jackal and the alien warfare of Super C, each song brings a different kind of old-school action to life.
The adventure continues across centuries in Time Lord, deep underground in Blaster Master, and through Dr. Wily's robot-filled fortress in Mega Man 2. Arthur battles supernatural horrors in Ghosts 'n Goblins, Master Higgins races across the dangerous islands of Adventure Island, and the heroes of Gauntlet fight their way through monster-filled dungeons with their health running dangerously low.
These are the games that demanded quick reflexes, perfect timing, endless determination, and more than a few extra lives. Operation: Extra Life captures that relentless cartridge-era excitement with original rock songs packed with driving rhythms, explosive choruses, and the spirit of classic NES gaming.
